Real Wins, Real Change: Impact Story

State Campaigns - Washington D.C.

Lisa D.T. Rice, a dedicated volunteer with Veterans for All Voters, played a pivotal role in the successful passage of Initiative 83 in Washington, D.C. As a co-proposer of the initiative, she championed electoral reforms to implement ranked-choice voting and open primaries to independent voters. Her leadership and commitment to inclusive democracy have empowered over 80,000 unaffiliated voters to participate in primary elections, ensuring that elected officials truly represent the will of all constituents.
